We can help you get through the process. It’s not as difficult as it may sound.
Most people don’t want to sit in a classroom for 4 to 5 hours to take the course. Texas has now made it much easier. More and more people are taking the online route. You can take the classroom portion of the course online.
You can take your time and go at your own pace. You can binge the entire course in 4 hours or take each section at a time in bit and pieces. You can use your phone, tablet or desktop computer.
Once you have completed the class you will download your certificate. Next you go to a shooting range near you and take the shooting portion of the course. They will give you a certificate of completion.
Go to the Texas DPS website and fill out your application and upload both of your certificates, pay the fee and submit.
You will receive an email of receipt with a tracking number for your application. Next you will make an appointment with IdentiGo. You will use your tracking number to attach your fingerprints to your DPS application. Go get your finger prints completed and then you wait for them to do your background check.
It’s really that easy.
